Well, we as Americans are obsessed with buying things on credit since we have to have it now. It's so shocking that 90% of people in our culture buy things they can't afford (Dave Rasmey). And the reality is that 60% don't pay off their credit cards every month (Dave Rasmey). So why is this?
I think there is a simple answer that can start the bases of this craziness...we have never been taught how to deal with money responsibly. We take classes on many things we never will use in school and then college but what is the one class that we don't get taught? Money management and responsibility. I wonder why this is.
Did you know 80% of graduating college seniors have credit-card debit - before they eve have a job (Dave Rasmey).
Now if you have parents that understand money you might have learned something from them (that is where I learned) and are better off then the rest. Then you might learn more if you pick up a book or listen to the radio shows of Dave Rasmey or Suze Orman later in life.
Here is the good thing you can make the change now! No matter your age or your current situation.
So I decided I was going to share with everyone how I am going to get more financially fit to a) have accountability, 2) help others, and 3) let you know anyone can do it!
So here's to changing our current situation and being financially fit!!
If you live like no one else, later you can live like no one else. - Dave RasmeyRustie J
